Test results

The doctors review the tests and comment on the results. In some cases you may be asked to make an appointment to discuss the results with the doctor. The confidential nature of tests means that we can only give results to the patient (unless consent is given to provide results to another person and this is clearly documented in the medical notes).

What other results can I contact the surgery for?

Reporting of X-Rays usually takes ten days after which you should call the surgery for the results. Other tests may take longer than this and the reception will advise you on how long you can expect to wait for the results of your investigation.

Online

In person or by phone

You can call the surgery on 0121 550 4917 or visit reception for the results of any tests or investigations that have been carried out at the request of your GP. The surgery does not routinely telephone patients with results.

If your test was carried out at the request of a hospital consultant, you will need to contact the hospital to obtain your results.
